It’s often said that “necessity is the mother of invention.” To narrow it down for the construction industry over the past few years, necessity is the mother of embracing the inventions that previously may have existed in niches.
Construction industry professionals have done a lot to survive in the past two-plus years of the global COVID-19 pandemic, resulting supply-chain turmoil and, now, inflation. Frequently, the solutions to their problems have come through technology. In fact, seizing on inherent advantages in efficiency and synergy, many projects now demand the use of new equipment, services and software, indicating that though these technologies may not necessarily be new to the industry, they are certainly newly important.
